Nuts and Bolts Program

The private lesson option to get you on your way to a great dog! (For ages 5 months and above)

Has your puppy graduated our Shooting Stars Puppy program and are they ready for more skills? Is your dog dragging you down the street? Are you embarrassed by your dog’s naughty behavior?
Would you like to have a dog to take with you and enjoy more adventures together?

The Nuts and Bolts program is perfect for the do-it-yourselfer who needs a little guidance on where to start and how to build a great relationship with their dog.

You ’ll have professional, private guided support from a trainer to learn how to implement training techniques and give you all the info you need to succeed in building the best relationship possible.

We’ll work together to teach your dog the following skills:

  • leash manners, recall, sit/stay, down/stay,

  • place command (this means your dog will stay on their bed, mat or designated area until released)

  • off/leave it

  • no jumping

  • no barking

  • no play biting.

    What’s included:

  • 5 private lessons. Each lasting 45-90 mins.
    (If you’d like, your 5th lesson can be in an offsite public setting)

  • A remote training collar specific to your dog

  • Three consecutive month access to our Trails and Trails handling class. This will help you and your dog practice around distractions and improve social skills.

**This course is not suited for dogs with significant anxiety or aggression.

Happy Campers
Stay & Train

This program is for any dog over 5 months old.

Give us 6 days and 5 nights with your dog and we’ll give you a happy camper in return! This program is perfect for dogs that are social and fairly well behaved but need work on some basics.

Includes:

  • Leash Manners

  • Place command

  • Recall (Return to you when called)

  • Off or Leave it

  • Wait/Threshold Boundaries (no bolting through doors)

  • A remote training collar specific to your dog

  • Three private lessons (one on training start date and two post training)

  • Three consecutive month access to our Trails and Trails handling class that will help you and your dog practice around distractions and socialization work

Sunday drop off with Friday afternoon pick up and lesson.

Countryside Camp
Board & Train

This program is for dogs over 5 months old.

Are you looking for higher level obedience? Is your dog driving you bonkers? Are they friendly but over the top and only listen when they want to? Do they lack impulse control, have MINOR anxiety or exhibit MILD leash reactivity towards other dogs?

If you want your relationship to go to the next level then this is it! This program not only teaches proper leadership, obedience commands, home and public manners to your dog, it also teach YOU how to live and communicate with your dog so you can build a better bond.

Our 14 day Countryside Camp provides several training sessions for your dog throughout the day in various environments and public outings. On drop off day you’ll have your first private lesson so you’re onboard and feeling comfortable. On pick up day, you'll meet with the trainer for your second private lesson to understand how to continue and maintain forming your dogs new habits. A week later you and your dog will return for a 1-2 hour follow-up lesson.  

This program includes video of your dogs adventures, tons of educational content, as well as access to our Tails and Trails group handling class.

***For MAJOR behaviors such as dog or human reactivity, biting, or severe anxiety, please contact us to set up a rehabilitation program discussion. Significant behaviors such as these require a minimum 4-6wk stay and are accepted only on a case by case basis.***

  • Drop it = (if needed) Let go of items in your mouth.

  • Kennel Up (if needed) Enter and remain inside calmly.

  • Quiet (if needed) Alert barking is acceptable but your dog will cease when told to.

  • A remote training collar specific to your dog

  • Three private lessons (one on training start date and two post training)

  • Three consecutive month access to our Trails and Trails handling class that will help you and your dog practice around distractions and socialization work

Tails and Trails
Group Handling Class

Where nature is your dog's teacher.

This program requires completion of one of our programs.

Tails and Tails is a complimentary program that gives you access to an on-going handling class. It’s great as a continuation session to implement all the skills you and your dog have learned. We will practice as a group with inside and outside activities.

Mornings at 9:00, the first and third Saturday of every month.
